Hello Choir,Our season is off to a great start. Rehearsals have gone well, and we have just
about mastered our new songs for next week. Keep listening to those CD's!!!It has come to my attention that PR expects the services on Saturday night and Sunday to be
identical. This means that we need to plan to sing on Saturday night as
well as Sunday - November 13 and
14.On Saturday,
we would need to arrive at 4:15 so that we can go over our songs before
the regular band rehearsal begins at 5:00. You would be free to return
home after we sing (at about 6:30), if you like. Children's Church
will be open, so childcare can be taken care of with that. Please
e-mail me asap and let me know if you can be there on Saturday. As
for Sunday, we need to arrive at 7:00 a.m. to warm
up and be ready to rehearse with the band. We generally bring
something to share for breakfast in the rehearsal room, and eat together
during first service after we sing. I would really like to continue
this tradition. It gives us a chance to get to know each other, and
find out what God is doing in your lives. There is little opportunity
for this kind of casual connection during regular rehearsals because our
director is so mean! Finally, I
want to emphasize the importance of PROMPT attendance at this week's
rehearsal. We this will be our last opportunity to tie up loose ends. In addition,
we need to spend some time on the Christmas
music, as that date will be upon us soon, as well. (Dec. 11 and 12. Please
note: we need to plan to be there on Saturday AND Sunday.) So,
if we haven't seen you lately, we miss you. Please join us
at 12:30 on Sunday. See
you Sunday,
Chelly
